Living Words of Encouragement
Do Not Believe in Luck
When you say things like “good luck” to someone or say to yourself “my luck is good” you are not saying that God is in control. You are saying that it just happens or it is possible something that you are in control of. In Christ Jesus there is no such thing as luck, either you are blessed or you are not. Don’t let anyone trip you up and don’t you start saying such things. It is the Lord your God who blesses and keeps you. He is forever looking and keeping watch over you. He is consistently in the business of blessing His people.
The Lord Bless you and watch, guard and keep you; The Lord make his face to shine upon you enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
Amplified Bible Deuteronomy 6:24-26
In the book of James, He tells the reader that they should not be misled and come to the realization that every good and perfect gift is from God. Put and keep your trust in Him who is able to lead you.
Do not be misled, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. Amplified Bible James 1:16-17
God is truly in the business of blessing His people beyond what they can understand but this is not and never will it be called luck. God has blessed us to come to saving grace in Him and He has blessed us to have eternal life. He blesses us everyday we are allowed to open our eyes and realized the dawning of a new day. He blesses us in so many ways that we can never say that it is luck but “Thank you God for the abundance of your blessings.
Remember all good and perfect gifts are blessings from God!
