Living Words of Encouragement
CHANGE IN JESUS IS ALWAYS GOOD
(Romans 12:1-2) Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of you mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods’ will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Have you every asked yourself, how do I change and become what God wants me to be? If you have asked yourself that question, have you come to the realization that there is a price to pay for becoming what God wants you to be? Your friends will likely reject you because you don’t do the things you used to do. Your spouse may decide that you are too holy and tell you that you are no longer the one for them. Your children may become rebellious because they don’t want to go to church. Those outside of the body of Christ will say that you have changed and that you’re not the same person that you used to be. I ask the question, is this not a good thing?
When you look back at what you used to do and who you used to be, how in the world would you want to stay the same? So what, if man rejects you, they rejected Jesus. You will endure but you will never endure as much as He did on the cross. So let them talk about you. Let them go their separate way. You made the right choice in coming to Jesus. There is no other and better place to be than in the arms of the holy, loving, and righteous ONE.
You have a responsibility now that you belong to Christ to “change” it is your reasonable duty. He didn’t say it was going to be easy, He didn’t say everyone would like you in the process, but He does know that you can make it or He would not have set Himself as the example.
Remember, change will eventually manifest on the outside!
