Living Words of Encouragement

ASHAMED TO TELL IT

When a person is ashamed, they are reluctant through fear to tell, to share something. The may need to tell it, but they keep it bottled up, hidden within and no one gets the opportunity to receive what they know or who they know about. When one is ashamed, they are fearful to step out.

It is not God that makes us fearful to share the Good News that He lives with us and is the one that directs our life . God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control. (II Timothy 1:7)

Living Words of Encouragement BookIn the book of Matthew, he speaks of us as salt and light. “ You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its salty taste, it cannot be made salty again. It is good for nothing, except to be thrown out and walked on. You are the light the gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. Moreover, people don’t hide a light under a bowl. They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16)

God wants us, our actions and our lifestyle to be seen by others. He wants our actions to be acceptable in His sight. He wants people to be able to listen to our conversations and say “Oh they must be saved.” He wants us to behave in such a manner that people would want to do the same. Now I know that is not a problem if your actions and lifestyle are in line with Gods Word, his teachings, his precepts and His guidance for our lives.

Ask yourself the question, am I saying and doing things that others would want to emulate for Christ or for the world? Is my light dull with the things of the world or is it bright with the things of Christ.

Remember, if you have been saved, you should have a story to tell of how you were brought out and through by the Master.
